“You’ve exceeded our expectations, presidency should be your bidding”- Kojokrom Market women praise Joe Ghartey

In a unanimous voice, traders at the Kojokrom market prayed that the political luminary, Joe Ghartey, who is their parliamentary representative, rises to become Ghana’s President after H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

The traders say “our MP (Joe Ghartey), has exceeded our expectations and there’s nothing we could wish for him than to have him as our President”

In a rather retrospective analysis of his capabilities and performance as a Member of Parliament for Essikado Ketan Constituency, the traders intimated that Mr. Joe Ghartey deserves to be granted the opportunity to contest as President of the Republic.

They pledged to support his candidature beyond the 2020 parliamentary elections, and hoped to see him through in his bidding for the presidency in the coming future.

“We love him. We are with him and shall always be. He’s been very responsive…to those who claim he’s done nothing, I say they are liars! We have concrete sheds and floors , modern market stores today, all because of him.

“Even in these trying times, with this disease (COVID 19), he’s never abandoned us. We’ve received the best of resources, including sanitary items, and today, some reusable face masks. He cares!”, Nana Akua Prahba, a deputy market queen said.

The Essikado-Ketan legislator has since the outbreak of COVID 19 in Ghana, supported communities, including health facilities within his jurisdiction, with various sanitary items, protective gear and other supplies to fight the spread of the disease.

A community-based sensitization program on COVID 19, which is fully sponsored by Mr. Joe Ghartey, has been complementary in an initiative taken to curb the spread of the virus not just in his constituency but to all other beneficiaries.
