Speaking on Skyy Talking Sports on Saturday, August 21, the Vice-Chairman for Western Regional Football Association (WRFA), Mr George Dadzie, took time to explain allegations labelled against WRFA by Division 2 clubs.
He revealed that, apart from a GHS20.000 sponsorship from the Regional Minister, there was another mega sponsorship to the WRFA through the effort of the hardworking chairman.
He further stated the amount in the said sponsorship, “it’s a fact that the Simon Ehomah administration before the beginning of the league said a company agreed to sponsor the Division 2 with an amount of GHS30,000 which I confirmed during several interviews I granted.”
Mr Dadzie however indicated that the FA is waiting for them to officially do a presentation to inform the clubs and the general public about the sponsorship.
He further debunked rumours circulating about the WRFA keeping the sponsorship money for themselves, “We are paying officiating fees, playing fields, net, marking, etc, we have uplifted the office of WRFA so it never true we have used that money for ourselves”
He pleaded with the clubs to constantly visit the office for information, speak to the secretary and communication director for an explanation before going on radio to speak ill about the FA
