Mr. Cofie, the father of the Ghanaian hip life recording musician, Theophilus Tagoe, popularly known as Castro, has stated that he wants to see his son once again and does not care whether he is dead or alive.
He said this in an interview with Skyy Power 93.5FM on Wednesday, June 7, disclosing that, it has not been easy for the past years since the musician’s disappearance after a holiday get-away in Ada some 7 years ago.
He appears to be strong and confident but the sadness still spreads around especially by the mention of his son’s name.
He talked about the respectful nature of his Castro towards the elders and those even younger than him when he was still around. Revealing that was one of the very things he admired about his son.
He also highlighted on the fact that even though some musician’s in Ghana ware owing his son some amount of money through music recordings, non of them have made any attempt to settle the debt after his disappearance.
Mr. Cofie revealed that the father of Janet Bandu, the lady who disappeared along with Castro has unfortunately passed away because he could not contain the pain after her daughter’s demise.
He then stated that despite the Evidence Acts of Ghana, 1975, Section 33, states that, a person can only be declared legally dead after seven years by a court, where the person in question has not been seen or heard from in seven years despite diligent and persistent efforts to find him, it does not mean Castro is dead especially when he has not seen his son’s body. He is still in hope to find his son.
