Wassa East: Let’s Put the Past behind us and focus on 2020- Disqualified Aspirant
The disqualified parliamentary aspirant of the ruling new patriotic party, Daniel Afum Dankwa has told supporters of the party to put behind whatever misunderstanding that happened in the past, especially, following his disqualification by the vetting Committee and focus on how the Elephant family can wrestle the Wassa East seat from the National Democratic Congress.
He made these remarks when he mounted the podium to address party faithfuls during the event to acclamate Hon Wilson Arthur, the sole aspirant for the NPP in the constituency at the forecourt of the Wassa East District Assembly in Daboase.
There has been tensions within the party in the past couple of months when Mr Afum was disqualified from contesting by the vetting Committee between followers of Honourable Wilson Arthur and the former. Mr Afum appealed against the decision of the vetting Committee but the appeals committee upheld the decision of the vetting Committee.
