The Western Regional Directorate of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) has donated items worth GHC7,000 to the Kwesimintsim Polyclinic to facilitate smooth healthcare delivery at the facility. The items included cartons of washing and bathing soaps, detergents, milo, milk, bottled water, baby diapers, toilet rolls, and boxes of toothpaste.

Presenting the items, the NABCO Western Regional Coordinator, Mr. Paul Dekyi, said the gesture forms part of NABCO’s social responsibility.

“We want to give back to society”, he said, adding that, NABCO would demonstrate in every possible way that it is indeed helping build a prosperous Ghana.

He said the items are intended to ease the pressure often faced by authorities of the facility to provide some basic consumables to patients who cannot afford them.

Mr. Dekyi said his outfit would continue to assist in whatever way possible to help the facility execute its responsibilities more efficiently.

The Medical Superintendent of the Kwesimintsim Polyclinic, Dr. Simone Osei Frimpong, who received the items on behalf of the Polyclinic, thanked NABCO for the kind gesture.

He said the items would particularly help needy patients at the facility.

“A lot of the patients we receive are people who are really in need and cannot afford some of these things.

“So when we receive items like this, we give it to the wards for onward distribution to patients who really need them”, he said.

He said such items though seen as basic, make a lot of difference in healthcare delivery therefore reiterated his gratitude to NABCO for embarking on such an initiative.

Dr. Frimpong urged other institutions and corporate organizations to emulate the kind gesture exhibited by the Western Region NABCO directorate.
