Traders from the Takoradi Market Circle have been relocated to a temporary sight for their regular business since the Market Circle is being demolished for redevelopment.
In a video captured by Skyypowerfm.com in the early hours at the market, it seems traders are aggrieved with the new arrangement as about 200 of them are stranded and not having a space to trade. The market women were seen dispersed all over the place with some even trading in front of stores ready to be occupied by some traders and the roads meant for cars.
Some shared their concerns making it known they have not received their shed or any space after paying GHS400 which was demanded by the STMA. Whereas works is yet to be completed at the new market, traders have been kicked out of the Takoradi Market Circle and some will have to wait for months before they move in to start their business.
