Deborah Acquah, who broke the outdoor school record last spring, has now set a new Indoor record at her school, Texas A&M, bettering a previous record held by Adrien Sawyer set in 1998.
Acquah’s leap beats the current meeting record, to continue an amazing twelve months where she has won silver medal from the 2019 All African Games, and with this, smashes her previous record.
“I talked about it with my teammates,” Acquah said after the event.
“I told her, ‘I don’t care what I jump, but I am going to break the school record.”
Her feat now wins her a spot on the back wall of the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium, where all record-holders are recognized with large wall pictures.
