Tennis coach Wenders banned for 12 years over match-fixing

Max Wenders, the Dutch tennis coach has been banned from the sport for 12 years, after admitting to multiple match-fixing.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) on Wednesday announced that he must pay a fine of $12,000.

The accused has admitted to destroying evidence, it said and failing to report a corrupt approach

The location, time and players involved in the match-fixing were not disclosed by the ITIA.

Also, it is evident that Wenders had worked with several players as a coach on the women’s WTA Tour.
