Mr. Mustafa Ussif Minister of Youth and Sports Designate has said he will engage all stakeholders in sports to design a comprehensive bonus structure for all national teams to avert future challenges.

Mr. Ussif who was answering questions at the Appointment Committee of Parliament on Thursday said, the issue of winning bonus was worrying and had become a bane to our national teams in international competitions.

“I would engage all stakeholders to discuss how to get a comprehensive bonus structure for all the teams and this would be made known to all sportsmen and women,” he added.

On the 2023 Africa Games to be hosted by Ghana, Mr. Ussif said, he wants to be remembered for supervising the best event in the history of Ghana.

“I want to be remembered as the Minister who has built the capacity of the youth and also as the one who organized the best tournament in Ghana when we host the Africa Games in 2023,” he stated.

Ghana would host the 13th Africa Games in 2023, the first in the history of the competition.
