Heavy rains have hit the city of Sekondi-Takoradi today, causing flood in many areas, damaging properties and bringing the city to a stand still due to massive traffic.
It has rained for about 2 hours which has flooded many parts of the city, submerging the main market (Market Circle) and other areas including Beach Road, Shippers Council, Melcom Road, Asempa Hotel and it environs.
Drivers had to use unfamiliar roots to get to their location due to impenetrable roads caused by the rains. It is believed that, millions of properties have been destroyed by these rains as the citizens of Sekondi-Takoradi look up to the mercies of the weather to spare them the havoc.
Reporting for Skyypowerfm.com, Premier Gawu made it known that, no lives were lost in the cause of the rains but there have been a lot of damage done in the short but heavy rain fall.
