Six fishermen gone missing on high seas at Shama
Six fishermen from Shama are reported missing on the sea for close to a month. Their vessel, “TRY JESUS” left the shores of Shama on 4th July 2019 and has since not return. Efforts by Residents and fishermen to trace their whereabouts have proven unsuccessful. There is currently tension in the community as immediate family members of the crew are worried.
Speaking to Skyy news, Mr. Andrew Mensah a sibling to the owner of the fishing vessel, indicated that, the development is unusual as maximum fishing period on the sea for the crew on every normal occasion is five days. Reports are that, the crew members, man Kofi, 32 (Leader) Papa Momuna 46, Agya Badu 23, Popee 30 and fifteen 37 were last spotted in the Benin waters.
