Ten persons have submitted their applications for the vacant Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) Secretary job, grapevine source reveals. The applicants include top sports journalists, grassroot football administrators and some fresh university graduates.
Sources say there are three applicants outside the Western Region.
Last week, the WRFA announced vacancies for a secretary and an accountant. For the Secretary position, prospective applicants must possess First Degree or Higher National Diploma in a related field, plus excellent writing and communication skills.
Deadline for the submission of application expires at 5pm today. A shortlist of five is expected to go through an integrity test and an interview, after which the Search Committee will recommend one person to the GFA for appointment.
The Secretary position became vacant after the GFA appointed the Julius Ben Emunah, the immediate past Secretary, as the GFA’s Club Licensing General Manager
