Real Madrid quarantine its football & basketball players after first player tests positive for Coronavirus.
Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid C.F has quarantined its basketball and football players for 15days after a basketball player tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The decision was taken and communicated after a player from the club’s first basketball team tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. On the recommendation of club doctors and health experts, the club decided to quarantine both the basketball first team and the football first team, as the two teams share facilities in Ciudad Real Madrid; the club’s training ground.
The club has also decided to close the facilities of its Sports City while club staff who work at the club’s premises, Real Madrid City will also remain quarantined.
The decision now means the basketball team’s matches in the EuroLeague Basketball and the football team’s La Liga matches that were scheduled for today and tomorrow, will not be played.
