Promoting festivals central to our business – MTN

Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) Ghana, is committed at promoting and strengthening cultural heritage of the Ghanaian community, Acting Senior Manager for South West Business District, David Woase has reiterated.

For note than a decade, the telecommunication giant has adopted and sustained the promotion of Ghanaian festivals across different ethnicity and tribes.

Each year dossiers of gifts including cash donations are offered to traditional councils to support and enhance the experience of festivals celebrated.

In fulfilment of this obligation, the company has offered a Three thousand Ghana Cedis cheque (GHC 3,000.00) plus other amazing gifts to the Sanzule Traditional councils in the Ellembele District if the Western Region, in support of this year’s Sanzule Kundum festival.

Mr. David Woase noted in his remarks as he presented the these gifts to the Chief of Sanzule, Okatakyie Asafo Boakye III that MTN is delighted to be associated with the rich cultural heritage of Sanzule and thus will ensure its sustenance for prosperity.

He added that MTN has taken to itself other cost including branded canopies for the Grand durbar.

The 2019 MTN Sanzule Kundum festival is themed “Our environment and sanitation, key to prosperity”

Commenting on the theme, Mr Woase emphasised the relevance of having a healthy environment and community, as “are key elements in improving the socio-economic status of the Sanzule Community”

“An  improved environment would improve the health of the people, it will create jobs, new business opportunities, and strengthen local economies” he said

Chief of Sanzule, Okatakyie Asafo Boakye III, on his part thanked MTN Ghana for their kind gesture.

“You’ve been a responsible organisation. Not just with your social responsibility projects but in all affairs of development” he commended MTN Ghana.
