Political Bullet: ‘You’ve got nothing better for the constituency’- Kwesimintsim MP fires NaCCA Boss
Parliamentary representative for the Kwesimintsim Constituency, Joseph Mensah has lambasted his political adversary in the New Patriotic Party’s upcoming primaries, Dr. Prince Armah, saying the Executive Secretary for the National Council for Curriculum Assessment, has nothing good to offer his constituents.
The Kwesimintsim legislator, after filing his nomination to contest and retain the ticket as the parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the 2020 parliamentary elections, told the media that his opponent [Dr Prince Armah] had no track record of serving the interest of his constituents and therefore called on delegates to place no value on his promises.
“Between me and my contender, who has done sometime for the constituency. I’m doing something. The other person has not done anything for the constituency. He’s just going round promising and promising…but he has not done a thing.
“There’s nothing to show. He cant use anything as a yardstick, for which he has done. But I have so many things that I can use as a yardstick, to tell people what I have done” he fired.
Hon. Joseph Mensah added that his track record is testament of his capabilities.
“It is so easier for me to be sold to the people because they’ve seen my handy works. You can’t compare the two of us at all.
“One person is promising heaven, and he himself is not coming from heaven but he’s promising heaven. Another person started doing something and the thing is yielding fruits. Why don’t you want me to continue so that at the end of the day, we all benefit from the yields that will come” Mr. Joseph Mensah stated.
Hon. Mensah therefore called on delegates to reject his opponent, claiming “a vote for his opponent, is a vote for a retrogression of the constituency”
“Don’t let us go back. You voted for me over three years ago, to represent you in parliament. I have performed and performed better. And the testimonies lie in the survey that was done by the press in Sekondi Takoradi recently” he explained.
