The General Secretary of Patriotic Intellectuals of the NPP (PI-NPP) Mr. Joseph Mensah Oti-Asirifi has hinted that the group will stage the next press conference on the 9th of November 2020. This press conference, according to him, is expected to highlight the performance of the NPP government in three specific areas i.e. education, oil and gas, and cocoa in the Western Region.
The outspoken scribe of the group disclosed this to newsmen over the weekend during a mammoth walk organized by the Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, Joseph Cudjoe.
“The leadership of PI-NPP has agreed to address the media on Monday, November 9, and that would be a meticulous outline of the monumental works of the NPP under the competent leadership of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo; and this time we would focus on our zone here, that is, Western Region and Western North, and we will showcase to Ghanaians and the world, the good works of Nana Addo”, Mr. Oti-Asirifi told newsmen.
“We in the NPP are convinced that Ghana’s elections in December 2020 are momentous in the country’s destiny, and the popular conversation is that the President Nana Addo has delivered on the expectations of Ghanaians, and I can tell you that the good people of Western Region and Ghana would vote massively for Nana Addo in December, he concluded”.
This would be the second time that the group would be addressing the press on the achievement of the NPP Government under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
It would be recalled that on the 5th of October this year, PI held their maiden edition of a lecture series dubbed “Ghana Must Know” which focused on the achievements made in the educational sector under President Akufo Addo. Patriotic Intellectuals is a vibrant voluntary wing of the New Patriotic Party made up of lecturers, administrative and professional staff of the University who are members of or affiliated to the NPP.
