The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) directed the gold trading firm Menzgold Ghana Limited to shut down their investment operations with immediate effect for contravening the Securities Industry Act, 2016 (Act 929) in 2018.
The Public Relations Officer of the Coalition Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Ghana, Mr Fred Forson has stated that over 120 customers of the embattled gold dealership company, Menzgold Ghana Limited, have died nationwide in the space of 3 years.
Speaking on Skyy Power 93.5FM on Wednesday, September 15, Mr. Forson made it known most of the aggrieved customers have lost hope in the government leading to their early death.
He also made it known even though prosecution of the Chief Executive Officer of the embattled gold dealership company Nana Appiah Mensah, Alias NAM 1 is in process, they will still wish for Parliament to get involved in the issue, and research on why a large number of customers of the gold dealership have died within a short period of time.
Mr Forson revealed they have followed due process and have written a petition through a Member of Parliament which has been presented before parliament and they are at the moment waiting for a response as they will want the government to stand in place of the company and pay their monies to them.
