The Western Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Francis Ndede Siah has called the bluff of opposition forces within the party, and from rival political parties. The fire-brand and staunch politician, said the party will emerge victorious come December 7 general elections, no matter the opposition.
His comments comes after a threat by a supporter of disappointed Joy Joycelyn Andoh [who aspired to contest the NPP primaries in Tarkwa Nsuaem], and former Constituency Organiser for Tarkwa Nsuaem, Joseph Anobah, to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament, George Mireku Duker, by fielding Joycelyn Andoh as an independent candidate.
Posters and flyers of Mada Joycelyn Andoh contesting independent of her former political party, have been spotted in the capital and other communities of the constituency.
Reacting to this, Mr. Ndede Siah said the party is not perturbed by their actions.
He dared Mr. Anobah to do his worst with his candidate and another person he fields to contest the NPP’s candidate.
“Anobah can go to hell, I don’t care. He can go and file more independent candidates. We are not going to lose that seat. No! Nothing can stop us!!”
Though an official communication is yet to be issued by Madam. Joycelyn Andoh, to the Regional Party Executives, the Western Regional Chairman, Francis Ndede Siah cautioned that there will be no-turning-back for the candidate.
“If you go independent and you don’t win, that is all.. don’t think you going to be received into the party if you make a u-turn. As it stands we haven’t heard from her…so lets wait and see. We have rules and regulations.
“We have to go for reconciliation but if that fails we have nothing to stop them It’s an individual choice. But they should not that the door is shut the moment they take the decision to leave and contest independently” he said.
