#NPP Primaries: Western Region Minister defeats contender

Western Regional Minister, and incumbent Member of Parliament for Takoradi, Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah has won the primaries.

A provisional results from the coalition center has it that the Minister won with 341 votes [63.7%] out of a total votes cast of 537.

His contender, Jane Edna Nyame polled 196 votes representing 36.49% of the total votes cast.

Hon. Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah will by effect be the parliamentary candidate for the Takoradi Constituency in the 2020 elections.
