Lawyer Mona Gertrude Effah says she believes playing the gender card will deliver her victory in the NPP parliamentary primaries in the Wassa East Constituency.
Speaking to Naomi Afriyie Nyanor on the JBS, lawyer Mona Effah said it’s about time the NPP as a party took the Wassa East seat from the NDC and they need just 1351 votes and her being a woman will play to the party’s advantage.
According to her most floating voters in the constituency are women and it is her conviction that these women will vote for her based on the skills training that she has been providing them with over the years.
“I feel that me being a woman will play to the party’s advantage. Most of the floating voters are women and because I am a woman and I have done a lot for them as well, I believe I will amass a lot of votes and even win the parliamentary seat for the NPP in Wassa East.”
She further entreated Wassa East NPP delegates to vote for her because as a woman she has the compassion and understanding to listen and help solve their problems.
She also assured them that everything will be brought directly to the polling station level so that everyone can benefit.
“This is the time for Wassa East to bring a woman, a woman has compassion and they know their problems will be considered because women are known for that.”
“Each and everyone will get their share of resources which will help with the campaign and with believe in me, we will win this election.”
