NPP making undeserving claims with 1 District 1 Factory initiative

Western Region Organiser for the opposition National Democratic Congress, Japhet Baidoo has lashed out at the Nana Addo led administration and the ruling New Patriotic Party for making undeserving claims on factories initiated by the previous administration, as part of the famous one district one factory initiative.

According to him, claims by government on the KEDA ceramics factory, as an offspring of the one district one factory initiative of the NPP is deceitful and must be challenged by the media.

“If you are in your studios, your offices and you hear that H.E the President and the government is claiming that there are certain one district one factory which have been established in the Western Region, and you know it is not true, you cannot keep quiet because you are not NDC.

“If you speak the truth and the government becomes more conscious about what he’s doing and they come and focus on establishing two or four of the factories in the Western Region, we will all benefit” Mr Baidoo told the journalist at a press soiree yesterday.

He stressed that the media with their gate-keeping role could set the balance and redeem the country from untruth, corrupted and bad governance, by uncovering rots and facts with their journalistic work.
