Nogokpo saga: Kwaku Bonsam advises Archbishop Agyinasare

Renowned traditional priest, Nana Kwaku Bonsam has advised the founder of Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Agyinasare not to heed the demands of the Nogokpo Traditional Council.

This follows Archbishop Agyinasare’s stirring sermon about divine protection and the existence of evil forces casting accusations against Nogokpo, a deity named after a town in the Volta Region, at the Supernatural Summit held at the Perez Chapel headquarters in Accra on Thursday, May 25, 2023, which caused a stir.

The Chiefs and people of Nogokpo in the Ketu South Municipality, however, threatened to show the founder and leader of the Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, the one who controls cosmic power if he fails to honour their invitation.

He later clarified his comments saying his statements were not to cast a slur on the people of Nogokpo.

Speaking on the Jolly Breakfast Show on Wednesday, June 7, Nana Kwaku Bonsam said he sees no problem with Archbishop Agyinasare’s statement and if he heeds the people’s invitation, he will be disgraced.

He said, “To me, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, Agyinasare should not go to Nogokpo to apologise, I will always say the truth, what he said was the truth and he did not say anything against the gods just the location itself.”

“So if the pastor has said something that denigrates the people of Nogokpo there is no need for them to invoke the gods or pour libation with a command that the pastor must come immediately within 14 days, it is wrong and he should not heed to their invitation.”
