NDC Western Region Executives ‘crawl out’ as Bissue torpedoes comfort zones
Executives of the Western Region National Democratic Congress have had to reorganise themselves to regain their media presence, in the face of the political threat the Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party and Presidential Staffer, Charles Bissue poses.
Mr. Bissue is said to have torpedoed into their comfort zones, with his weekly media interviews on various platforms in the Western Region. It is alleged the regional executives of the opposition party couldn’t withstand the political backlash from their supporters, as they fear the sustained campaign launched by the Presidential Staffer will cause their popularity and eventual loss of the only four parliamentary seats they are ‘salvaging’ come 2020 election.
The NDC had since been employing their ‘commentators’ for political debates on media platforms in the region. Strong personalities, in the likes of the Regional Secretary Joseph Nelson, the Regional Chairman, Nana Toku, and the Organiser Japhet Baidoo who was once an ardent ‘spokesman’ on political debates, have all quelled.
But things seem to stir up, owing to Mr. Bissue’s frequent media engagements.
In a frank tone, as he responded to a question regarding his sustained interest speaking on the media, Mr Bissue said; “this is just a migraine I am inflicting in their minds. They are yet to suffer the big blow”
