Karela United accumulated 25 points in the first round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season in 17 games played.
In an interview on the Skyy Sports Show with Nana Akwasi Mensah, he said “I’m not satisfied for now. I’m not satisfied because apart from the 25 points accumulated in the 17 games played because the points within the games played should be 51 so meaning the team didn’t get an average score of points. I think we have a squad here who can and should do better than this”.
He continued by saying his team is targeting to get more than 25 points in the next round of games which is another 17 games. Kobi-Mensah added, “Since we started training we’ve discussed with the players that the 25 points we got in the first round wasn’t enough so we need to get more than what we got in the first round and the things we’ve already put in place means we need to do better”.
Bismark Kobi-Mensah, 38 years, made a couple of additions to his team that has had a good impact on the team.
He also said “I did my report and got to know we’ve scored 22 goals and I realized my team has wasted more than 30 goal scoring chances and that has affected us in the points we were supposed to get. Sometimes these changes could have won games for us or gave us at least a draw if we had scored and these happened at the beginning of the season”.
