Mass disinfection exercise of schools in Western Region nears completion
Zoomlion Ghana Limited is almost done with the disinfection of schools in the Western Region. The company in partnership with the Ministry of Education had planned to execute this project within a three week schedule, to allow pupils resume academic work without any fear of getting infected by the novel coronavirus.

The company is in its final week of the working schedule. Western Region Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Alhaji Abdulai Abdallah says they are determined at completing the exercise within schedule.
Speaking exclusively to Skyy News prior to a disinfection exercise at the Anaji Cluster of Schools in the Effia Kwesimintsim Municipality, Alhaji Abdallah said their initial target of disinfecting 1,808 pre-tertiary schools in the region have had to be revised as they more schools were identified in the process.
“We are poised in ensuring that this exercise is executed to the later, so that by the time the students come in, the entire area will be disinfected for them to start academic work” he added.
Alhaji Abdallah disclosed that the company has sub-contracted components of the work to some organisations so they can level up resources to meet their schedule.
“They’re doing well. We will continued to monitor them as the failure of which will affect us. So we are on them to ensure they do a very good job for us” he added.
He took the opportunity to advice school administrators to guide pupils to adhere to the preventive protocols even after the disinfection.
