A 36 old farmer, Kofi Sasah who is a father of 2 and the first born among 7 siblings at Wassa Akyempim in the Wassa East district of Western Region is reported to have hung himself to death.
The Assemblymember of Akyempim Electoral Area, Hon. Joseph Akomiah, confirmed the sad incident to Skyy Power 93.5FM, he further explained that, around 1pm today, a friend of Kofi Sasah went to visit him at his residence.
Upon his visit, he realised the door that leads to the room of the deceased was locked, so he forcifully pushed it and to his shock, Kofi Sasah has hung himself inside his own room leaving a sad note by him which reads;
“Hi mum, I am sorry to go back to my grave today, all because I don’t have money to take care of you. So mum take good care of yourself and my children for me and we shall meet again.
Good bye. Theophilus Incoom your only son Kofi Sasah. This is my message to you mum. May God bless you and keep you long life.”
Hon. Joseph Akomiah revealed that, this is the third time the deceased has attempted to take his life.
He first attempted with gramazole herbicide, again, he attempted to stab himself with a kitchen knife and has finally succeeded by hanging.
The body was picked by the Akyempim police to the Ateiku Church of Christ Morgue for preservation while investigation is ongoing.
Ofa Amoasi who is the uncle of Kofi Sasah (the deceased) also advised Ghanaians particularly the youth never to use a suicide as an option to relief hardship or any life difficulties.
