“Mad man’s” body left to decompose around Frebe Mall, threatens health of dwellers

One would easily puke at the smell or site of the decomposing body adjacent the Frebe Mall on the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital road. The unidentified body, believed to be of a mentally ill person, according to passer-bys have been left unattended since the past two day. Families of the deceased are yet to be identified.

The Police are yet to visit the scene to allow the Environmental Health Department of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly to fumigate the area, and then bury the body.
Until that is done, a major health hazard awaits persons who live or work around the neighbourhood.

Abdul Karim Hudu is the Officer in Charge of the Environmental Health Department of the STMA, and he told this reporter that some mobilisation is being undertaken to attend to the situation.
