An astute private legal practitioner in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis has agreed to use his resources to offer free legal assistance to Josephine Panyin Mensah Simons, the lady who is currently in court for faking a pregnancy. The case was called at the Harbor Court in Takoradi where the lady was granted bail after her lead lawyer, Philip Fiifi Buckman together with four others pleaded to the court that the lady at the center of the issue had already been detained for forty-eight hours by the police and the charges leveled against her are bailable in the laws of the country hence the judge must grant her bail.
After listening to the plea, His Honour Michael Cudjoe Ampadu granted Josephine Panyin Simons a bail of GHS 50,000 with two sureties. The prosecutor, Superintendent Emmanuel Basintale told the court that the suspect confessed to buying a prosthesis at the Takoradi Market Circle with an amount of GHC 30 and decided to fake her pregnancy after she had a miscarriage.
