Government is about finalizing arrangements with investors for the establishment of a fertilizer plant in Jomoro in the Western Region of Ghana. According to the Head of Corporate Communications with the Ghana National Gas Company Limited, Ernest Owusu Bempah, the necessary pipelines and infrastructure that will feed into the facility have already been completed, awaiting the establishment of the fertilizer plants.
“Most of the engineering work has been done. The first of which was to extend the pipelines to Jomoro” he disclosed.
Mr Owusu Bempah stressed that government is working at securing a better deal with investors.
He mentioned that over hundred thousand jobs will be created with the establishment of the factory, with a rippling effect in agriculture growth.
He made these remarks at a recent media briefing in Takoradi.
