A parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress for the Essikado-Ketan Constituency, Dr. Grace Ayensu-Dankwa has scored that the incumbent legislator for the area, Joe Ghartey has wasted sixteen good years, the opportunities that came his way to transform the constituency.
According to her, the tendency to grant Mr Ghartey another term as a parliamentary representative for the people of Essikado-Ketan, is just an endorsement of condemnation and impoverishment.
Addressing journalist in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis, Dr. Ayensu-Dankwa stressed that the parliamentarian has nothing better to offer the people, hence the need to replace him with a formidable person- and that is herself.
“…we have had one person who has been in charge of us for 16 solid years, who’s asking for another four years, who cant even account for what he’s done in the last sixteen years. So if you cant tell me what you’ve done in the sixteen years and you come to stand in front of me that we should give you another four years…tell me what you can do in four years that you couldn’t do in sixteen years?
“Nothing! Zero, absolutely nothing. So the question is that are we still going to sit in Essikado-Ketan and say- for me I’m an NPP or NDC and still vote for our own disadvantage? ” she questioned.
Dr Grace Ayensu-Dankwa also bemoaned the intense partisanship that has literally engulfed every facet of the Ghanaian live and development. She promised to champion a paradigm change for the betterment of her constituent and the Ghanaian people.
“We need a paradigm change, and we need a like-minded people who are bringing a different view to Ghana politics” she added.
