The Shama District Assembly has taken some promising steps to resolve the discomfort motorist and other road users face at the Inchaban Police Barrier. At last, the car-wrecking rut at the Inchaban Police Barrier has been given a temporary fix. This comes after a series of complaints from road users and residents of the metropolis and nieghbouring communities over the huge and frustrating traffic they encounter when they use that stretch of the road on the Takoradi-Cape Coast Highway.
In the coming days, at latest by Friday 30th October, a contractor is expected at the site to give the rutted area a permanent fix. The works according to the Presiding Member for the Shama District Assembly, Emmanuel Mark Ackon, will be executed within a ten-day schedule.
He also added that the relocation of the barrier is underway, and would be delivered in due course when the Ghana Highways Authority is done with its assessment.
