Hundreds of demonstrators on Tuesday, September 21, joined FixTheCountry campaigners to demonstrate against what they called bad leadership in the country.
The protesters, who were mainly youth, converged at a popular location in the Metropolis, Makessim White House at about 5 am.
With a heavy police presence, demonstrators with music and brass band started their protest from the Takoradi /Accra lorry station through to the Paa Grant Round About and ended with an address from the leadership of the protesters at Sekondi Enam Ase.
Clouded in red and yellow outfits with red arm bands, the demonstrators also had placards with inscriptions, a new constitution now, the youth are jobless, we Taya, bad leaders and poor health delivery.
We are poor because of bad leadership and we cannot keep quiet, Avram Ben Moshe, an activist and a member of the Fix the country protesters said.
He said the event will be replicated in all the capital cities of the country to tell our leaders both NPP and NDC that the people deserve better.
The group also commended the police for their professionalism including the city authorities.
