Gyandu Park Refurbishment: Skyy Media Group Launches a Campaign to Fix the Facility
The Skyy media Group, the mother company of Skyy Power FM, Westgold Radio, Star TV and www.skyypowerfm.com has launched a campaign to raise funds to put the Gyandu Park in shape to be able to host Premier and Division One matches.
Dubbed, bring back Gyandu park, the campaign is geared to towards raising GHS45,000 for the first phase which will see the inner perimeter being replaced, wire tunnel linking the car park to the dressing room and the main gate seeing a face lift.
The campaign has become necessary following the decision by government and the NSA to close down the Sekondi Stadium in Essipong for renovation.
Sekondi Hasaacas and Proud United currently play their home matches at the Sekondi Stadium and will be compelled to find venues outside of the metropolis to play their home games if the stadium is closed down since Gyandu park in its current state can’t host Premier League nor Division One League matches.
Commenting on why the Group toot this campaign up, Owner of the media conglomerate, Hon. Wilson Arthur said the decision to embark on this campaign is purely based on the spirit of Corporate Social Responsibility. Be recounted how his company successfully embarked on similar projects at the Gyandu park and entreated the good people of Sekondi Takoradi to contribute towards making the campaign successful.
