Goldfields WRIT 2019: Organizers embark on Trophy Tour

The Organizers of the Goldfields Western Region Invitational Tournament, the Western Region Sports Committee and the Local Organizing Committee have started a trophy tour to whip up interest and publicity to raise awareness maximize patronage.

The team Commissioned to embark on the tour include Dr Pear Pearson, leader of delegation and member of the LOC, Kwaku Sagoe, a member of the Sports Committee and LOC member, Paul Kwasi Anyaba, member of the LOC, Julius Emunah, Secretary for the LOC.

The first day of the tour, 13th September, 2019 will see the team touring Wassa Akropong, Asankragua, Enchi and Sameraboi. The team will head to Tarkwa and Nzema Anyinase on 14th September.

The Entourage will be in Daboase and Elmina on Tuesday, 17th September and crown the tour on 18th September in Sekondi Takoradi.

The selected places are the catchment areas of the participating clubs. The tour is to help Organizers interact with traditional leaders, political leaders, opinion leaders and supporters and invite them to be part of the tournament.

The participants clubs are Samartex FC, Medeama FC, Elmina Sharks, Skyy FC, Hasaacas FC, 11 Wise, Proud United and Karela FC.
