GIFEC Boss wins Amenfi West Primaries

Chief Executive Officer for the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC), Abraham Kofi Asante has been elected as the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Amenfi West Constituency of the Western Region.

He had in total, 307 votes representing 51.94% of the 591 valid votes cast.

He was among four others;  Joseph Danquah, Kwasi Afrifa, Kojo Abekah and Paul Dekyi.

Mr Abraham Kofi Asante was the parliamentary representative of the Amenfi West Constituency in 2000 under the former President John Agyekum Kuffour’s administration.

His election is in the hopes of ousting the NDC’s parliamentarian, Eric Afful from the seat.

Below are the provisional results of the polls.
