The Ghana Geological Survey Authority has confirmed that Weija and some parts of the Greater Accra Region experienced three incidents of an earth tremor, Monday, December 12.
The three incidents occurred at 11:43, 11:53 and 11:58 a.m.
Following this development, the Authority has sent a team of seismologists to gather the necessary data regarding the earth’s movement and the magnitude of the tremor.
Mr Isaac Mwinbelle, the acting Director-General of the Authority, in an exclusive interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Accra, discounted reports of the incident being a 4.0 magnitude tremor.
