GFA’s sets plan for autonomous Ghana Premier League in motion.
The Ghana Premier League will be an autonomous competition, following a decision by the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council.
Skyy sources say the decision which was taken at meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, includes the formation of a 5-member Committee to advise the GFA on how to proceed with the implementation of the Policy.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has also disclosed that the 18-Premier League Clubs will nominate 3 persons who will form while two others will be added by the GFA.
Their main responsibility as a committee will be to advise the GFA on the format, modalities, start date, and rulebook, among other parameters for the autonomous league.
Presently, the Ghana Premier League is organized and managed by the GFA through its Premier League Committee, chaired by Lepowura Alhaji M.N.D Jawula.
His team gets administrative support on a daily basis from the Competitions Department of the GFA.
