The congress of the Ghana Football Association has today voted for representatives of the various constituencies at the executive council in accordance with Article 37 of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) statutes.

Per Article 37 of the GFA statutes, the Association is supposed to have a 12 member executive council made up of 1 representative from Women’s football, 2 from the Regional FA’s, 3 from Division One League Clubs and five from the Premier League.

In the women’s category, Madam Habiba Attah pulled 8 votes to win ahead of Evelyn Nsiah Asare and Rosalind Amo who polled 7 and 1 votes respectively.

The Regional Football Association representative elections could only produce one candidate following a tie between Robert Duncan of Central Region and Mohammed Zida of Upper East region after two other polls ended in a tie. However Linford Boadu has been elected and is waiting for either of Robert Duncan or Mohammed Zida to join him.

At the Division One League, Randy Abbey of Heart of Lions, Mark Addo of Nzema Kotoko and Samuel Anim Addo of Young Apostles were selected.

Frederick Acheampong of Ashgold, Tony Aubynn of Medeama, George Amoako of Kotoko, Nana Kwame of Berekum Chelsea and Kingsley of Bechem United were elected to represent Premier League.
