Some residents of Funko and New Amanful have clashed with personnel of the Ghana Police Service after embarking on a demonstration over the deplorable Funko-New Amanful stretch.
The demonstration was interrupted by the Ghana Police Service with tear gas and brute force after the demonstrators completely blocked access to the road.
Some of the demonstrators have also been arrested.
Demonstrators speaking to Skyy News said the road has become unmotorable and is not only costing time and money but lives as some people have died being transported to the hospital.
They said they have petitioned the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly for years over the stretch but their calls have fallen on deaf ears.
