According to some residents of Anaji and victims of a recent fire outbreak, the Ghana National Fire Service in Sekondi-Takoradi allegedly refused to honour their emergency call whiles their building went up in flames in Anaji.
On Tuesday, November 9, some residents of Anaji, a suburb of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis were on the darker part of life when they helplessly witnessed their building and properties burn to nothing.
A victim speaking to Skyy Power 93.5FM blamed the fire on the unstable electricity.
He indicated they had to off the fire all by themselves by drawing water from a nearby well because the Fire Service told them it is a prank call so they will not make themselves available after placing an emergency call.
The fire ravaged four rooms with nothing to be retrieved as all properties were destroyed beyond recognition.
Speaking to another victim, on Wednesday, November 10, Amos Johnson who is a tailor revealed that he lost everything including GHS3000 and no government agency, including the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) have been to the scene.
