Edna Nyame will suffer yet another humiliating defeat- WR Minister’s Aide predicts

Aide to the Western Region Minister, Charles Cobbinah says the upcoming parliamentary primaries in the Takoradi Constituency is just another endorsement for the incumbent Member of Parliament Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, as the preferred candidate of the New Patriotic Party.

Mr. Cobbinah remarks that his boss’ contender; Madam Jane Edna Nyame, will suffer a humiliating defeat come 20^th June.

He explained that the Regional Minister and Incumbent MP has the qualities and competence to advance the development of the constituency, and enhance the political integrity of the party.

“Takoradi needs people of statute. The man has grown himself into the party such that even at a young age he’s trusted by the President and his Vice, and by the people. Those are the the software or latent things you need to be a Member of Parliament.

“Apart from that the energy and skills, the penchant to campaign. If you go into an election without the energy and penchant, then you are not a candidate” he emphasized.

Mr. Cobbinah stressed that the MP has grown his political circles and votes for the NPP, consistently over each electoral period, and thus deserve to be maintained.

He argued that the contender has nothing better to offer the constituency and thus must be discarded.

“She is the Executive Director for National Commission on Culture… she’s gone to support Eastern Region to renovate and build their CNC, what about ours?. Don’t we have one here?

“The delegates of the New Patriotic Party are wise. She’s come the first time when they were five, and was defeated. Why was she defeated? Why did the delegates chose Kobby? She came the second time..presented herself, her qualities, her character, ..and I mean her character. The delegates said we don’t want you, we want Kobby. This is her third time. Has her character changed? Has her demeanor changed? Does she support the party… please let us support the delegates in their wisdom to chose on the 20th” he fired.
