Don’t misquote me – Bismark Kobby Mensah tells Journalist
Accra Great Olympics head coach Bismark Kobby Mensah has disband the false reportage by some journalists about the comments he made about the inclusiveness of local players in the national team. In an interview with Skyy power fm’s Kwabena Aboagye Agyemang on the their Afternoon Skyy Sports show,
The Dade Coach said,
” the reportage I saw on some of the media platforms about my comments on the local players in the national team was not what I said exactly. My comments were not to disrespect any player but to talk about how the exclusiveness of the local players in the national team will affect our league football.” He said.
Mr. Mensah said if local players perform better, they will end up in the senior national team, and he was even speaking in favor of the Ghana Premier League.
The Accra Great Olympics head coach stated that in his comment about the call up he didn’t state that most of the local players are better than the call-up players, therefore the general public should disband such reportage from some of the media houses.
“It never true that I compared any player to the current Black Stars call up players, I mentioned some players such as Eric Esso and Richmond Lamptey that they are good players and with hard work and consistency they can also make it in the near future according to the question they asked me. The audio is there and every one can listen to it again”.
