COVID 19:Western Region Loyal Ladies supports kids at Father’s Home to fight pandemic

In such trying times, it behoves every meaning Ghanaian support each other especially the less privileged in our society to fight the pandemic; these were the words of Rhodaline Eshun, Captain in-charge of Western Region Loyal Ladies, as she and her team presents gifts to children at Fathers Home Care Ministries, at Anto in the Shama District.

The items included Veronica buckets, waste bins, hand washing soaps and sanitizers, tissue, diapers, cosmetics, drinks and many others, that “could make these kids safe and comfortable”, said Madam Eshun.

She disclosed that, the choice of offering such support to the children was borne out of love and care for the needy.

“…it is something we normally do. But then, we decided to come to Shama Constituency this time round, and pay a visit to the only Children’s Home in the area.

“Our brothers and sister here also need learn some basic things about coronavirus, and to be given some sanitary materials to help fight the disease” she said.

The team, led by Madam Eshun educated these ‘innocent’ kids on the novel coronavirus and it’s mode of transmission. They were taken through a series of demonstrations on basic hand washing practises, and other etiquettes.

A parent of the home, Janet Anderson, who received the gifts on behalf of the children, expressed her profound gratitude to Loyal Ladies. She prayed that other groups, individuals and organisations emulate the gesture to make lives better for the children.
