COVID-19: Ghana’s case count now at 5,127

The Ghana Health Service has confirmed 427 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus.

The new cases which were confirmed in a Ghana Health Service brief on Tuesday morning, increase Ghana’s count to 5,127.

Out of the 427 new cases, 272 are from the Obuasi township in the Ashanti region.

The Ghana Health Service also indicated that some 130 patients are waiting for second tests to know whether they have recovered from the viral infection or otherwise.

Meanwhile, 89 new persons have tested positive for the virus in the Greater Accra Region, increasing their case count to 3,981.

Sadly, no new recoveries from the virus were reported by the Ghana Health Service.
