COVID-19: Ghana records 3 more cases, present count at 19.
The Ghana Health Service has confirmed three new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), increasing the confirmed cases to 19.
According to the Ghana Health Service, the new cases are believed to be imported.
Two of the three cases were recorded in the Greater Accra Region while the other case, was in the Ashanti Region.
The infected persons include a 55-year-old Ghanaian woman who resides in the United Kingdom. She traveled to Ghana within the last two weeks. The second is an 84-year-old Ghanaian lady who resides in the United Kingdom. She also returned to Ghana within the past two weeks. The third case is a 27-year-old Chinese man who came to Ghana.
Since confirming the first few cases last week, the Ghana Health Service has recorded 13 new cases of the novel Coronavirus infection this past week. Of that number, three of these cases have been suspected to be community spread.
