Consider women in decision-making – Tarkwa Zongo Assemblywoman
Assemblywoman for Tarkwa Zongo electoral area in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality, Madam Roseline Amoh is appealing to authorities to consider women at the various assemblies when making decisions.
She said there are some projects which can be easily handled by the Assemblywomen than party foot soldiers who normally abandon the projects.
Hon Rosaline Amoh who was speaking to Skyy News, on the sidelines of a capacity building for Assembly women in the region stated that the school feeding which has over the years been politicized can be given to assembly women with the supervision of the MMDCE’S.
She said assemblywomen are capable but the violence that characterized the local and national level elections often prevents them from open participation in the local government system.
She said, “Most women should be considered when it comes to appointing competent people to lead government projects, even road constructions and other complex projects, equality must prevail in this our district as women should be given the same opportunity.”
