Coach Robert Sackey says he supports Prof. Kutu Blankson’s intention to run for the chairmanship position of the Western Regional Football Association once the current Chairman’s term of office is over. Hence Prof. Kuntu should expect his full support.
The veteran broadcaster who was the former chairman of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Football Association and now the chairman of the Shama District Football Association in an exclusive interview spilt out his passion and vision to chair the RFA in the near future.
Despite Professor Kuntu Blankson’s desire to contest for the RFA Chairmanship, he further explained that the current RFA Chairman Mr Simon Ehomah is in his first term and has to finish the good work he has started and serve for another term to complete his 8-year term in office before Kuntu can then contest for that position.
Football Administrators in the region and Ghana at large have high hopes and believe in the decorated broadcaster and have thrown their weights behind him to contest for the chairmanship position but he believes it’s not the right time to contest the current RFA Chairman.
“Let’s all support The RFA Chairman to attain his goals for the region and when the time comes for me to serve the region I will do so accordingly,” he said.
