Reports reaching Skyy Power FM indicate that a City Guard from the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly has been run over by a private vehicle at Fijai in the Western Region.

The city guard, whose name was given as Eric, was on duty directing traffic in the early hours of Friday, January 29, 2021, when the sad incident happened.

On the same spot, another Kia Taxi with a registration number GT 1568 – 19 from the direction of Ntankoful in the same suburb also ran over a woman in her early 50s, when the driver tried to save a bicycle rider crossed his lane.

Our reporter, Nana Yaw Kumi who visited the accident scene, reports that both the woman, Maame Nkoso, and the bicycle rider are currently receiving medical attention at the Holy Child Hospital in Fijai.

The city guard sustained minor injuries on parts of his body and has been treated and discharged. However, the remaining two victims are still receiving treatment.
