President of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, Rev Prof. Frimpong Manso, said churches should not only seek the spiritual needs of their followers but also their economic and social needs.
He said apart from being spiritually inclined through Jesus, there is the need as a Christian to be physically sound to impact on others.
Rev. Manso was speaking to Skyy news at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Grace Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church at Effiakuma in Takoradi last Sunday.
The church apart from dedicating its auditorium to God also commissioned a school and a credit union.
“The leader of the church, Rev. Docter Paul Dsane at Effia Kuma has done so well to the extent of thinking about the financial needs of the people and not only spiritual”, Rev. Frimpong Manso said.
Commenting on the theme ‘Grace, Growth, Gratitude and Gods Glory’ the man God disclosed it’s only by the Grace of God that has sustained the church which started in a classroom.
The establishment of the Credit union will improve the financial needs of the people in this community and I urge the leadership to be faithful with peoples funds to avoid the collapse of the scheme, he suggested.
