AKA (South Africa), Central Cee (UK), Gazo (France), JHus (UK), and K.O (South Africa) were rivals of the Ghanaian worldwide music sensation.
Sampa the Great (Zambia), Major RD (Brazil), and Tasha and Tracie (Brazil) are further nominees in this category.
Black Sherif was up for the award for the second time after losing to Gabon’s Benjamin EPPS the year before.
After Sarkodoe won in 2019, Black Sherif is the second Ghanaian to win the Best Hip Hop International Flow category at BET.
Since being named Artiste of the Year at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Black Sherif has had success.
